After changing over to the nvidia driver when I start X now the server starts, and goes immediately to a completely blank screen. It seems to me that something is attempting to start and then expiring a timer allowing the server to start. However, the log is showing nothing erroring out.

Is this a hardware or a driver problem?

I am having some serious problems with the nVidia Detonator drivers for Windows XP. Last week I downloaded 21.81 for XP, but when I run the exe, a dos window appears for a moment, and then disapears.
