Ice Age Problem
Once you get it to boot and everything seems to work, then it's time to compile the NVIDIA drivers, ALSA and iptables. If you don't use NVIDIA drivers or ALSA then you only need iptables. Get the latest version off the web, un-tar it to your current working source tree, then read its instructions.

nVidia - works... every now and then

XP SP1 - Be careful if you have a Nvidia card!

nVidia drivers don't work
Other users have reported the rolling back to a specific WHQL certified NVIDIA driver clears the problem. Download the older drivers, then UNinstall I've deleted/reinstalled the program, run Detect & Repair, nothing seems to work. After working for years with FP 98 and 2000 this problem is really bugging me!

Problem with latest Nvidia drivers for OS/2
Nothing is overclocked. The former video card was the nVidia Geforce 4 MX (AGP version). I used a driver cleaner to make sure all 'droppings' were removed. I then proceeded to do just that. In theory, a properly written device driver can't even take the kernel down (unfortunately most device driver writers do not put thier code in layer 2 but in layer 1 - kernel layer - instead; user code runs further out then layer 2). XF 4.1, an nVidia video card (never again), nVidia drivers stink stability wise.
